Helen "Louise" Leonard

Helen Louise Leonard, age 83, of Weymouth and formerly of Swampscott, MA passed away on July 2, 2017, with her children by her side. Louise was born in Lynn, and was raised and educated in Swampscott. Louise was known for her encouraging and positive demeanor, always helping those around her to push forward in life and enjoy each day as much as possible. Her family will remember her warmth and kindness, as well as the bright smile she always wore. She was also proud to stay in touch with her longtime friends by having their monthly “Third Thursday Girls” group, and weekly MahJong games. After retiring, Louise moved to Danvers and most recently resided here on the South Shore near her family.

Louise is survived by her beloved children Marsha Ford and her husband Brian of S. Weymouth, and Larry Leonard and his wife Rosemary of Vero Beach, FL. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Sarah Ford of S. Weymouth, Alicia Bourque and her husband Jason of Whitman, and Ian Leonard and Ben Leonard of Vero Beach, FL. Louise was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Anne Leonard.

Services for Louise will be private for her family. Interment will be in Oxford, ME beside her parents. In Lieu of Flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452.
