Lois P. Ambach (Archibald), age 85, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2016. Lois was raised and educated in Weymouth where she met her husband, Roger Ambach. They soon married after Roger returned from serving in the Navy during WWII. Lois and Roger settled in S. Weymouth where they raised their family. Lois worked as a preschool teacher for years then used her experience to found “Play and Learn” Nursery in E. Bridgewater where she enjoyed teaching for 30 years until retiring in 2002. She was a very active member of First Baptist Church in Weymouth and enjoyed crafting with children and adults. Lois was a fabulous cook and will be fondly remembered for her renowned pies especially by her great/grandchildren who loved making and eating them with her. She also enjoyed time with her friends in the “Knotty Knitters Group” at Baypointe in Brockton but above all else, Lois loved just spending time with her family.
Lois was predeceased by her beloved husband Roger Ambach in 1980 and son Donald in 2004. She is the loving mother of Kenneth Ambach and his wife Kathleen of Shrewsbury, Deborah and the late Michael Timmons of E. Bridgewater. She is the cherished grandmother to 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, devoted sister to Jackie Billings, William, Frank, and Richard Archibald all of Weymouth, and the late Dave and Donald Archibald. Lois is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours for Lois on Thursday July 7, 2016 from 4-8 PM at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the First Baptist Church located at 40 West St. S. Weymouth, MA for a Funeral Service which will begin at 10AM on Friday. Burial will immediately follow at the Old North Cemetery in N. Weymouth. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lois’ memory to the First Baptist Church at the above address. If you would like to leave a message for the family please click on the candle.
