John Robert “JC” Cariglia, 81, of Hanover passed away on March 20, 2016 at Royal Norwell Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Norwell. Born September 4, 1934 at home in Worcester, Massachusetts, he was the son of Natale “Nate” Cariglia and Leona Cecilia (Brock) Cariglia. He was raised and educated in Worcester schools. John graduated from Fordham University with a degree in Marketing before serving in the Air Force as an Officer. He created a long and successful career in sales in a variety of businesses, ranging from office supplies to construction equipment. In his spare time, John enjoyed watching team sports and classic old movies, and spending time with his family and close friends.

John is survived by his loving wife Norma Cariglia of Hanover and his five daughters: Jill Cariglia of Estero, FL; Lia Cariglia of Hanover; Paulette Voegele and her husband Robert of Florida; Linda Nicholson of PEI, CA; and Laurie Nicholson of Providence, RI. He is also survived by his three grandchildren: Steven Cournoyer, Katharine Cournoyer, and Ethan Voegele of Orlando.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hour for John from 2-4PM on Saturday March 26, 2016 at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth, MA. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 4PM.
