Paul S. Bickford passed away November 19, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family after a period of failing health. The son of Charles and Aina (Sutherland) he was born November 27, 1924. Paul served in the Navy during WWII. He worked for Boston gear for 45 years and Stop and Shop in Braintree for over 35 years. Paul was the husband of the late Ruth (Larson) who passed away at a young age which left Paul to raise his three young children while working. He eventually married Dorothy (Field) and enjoyed over 45 years as her beloved husband. Paul enjoyed golf and travelling with Dorothy but most of all spending time with his family.

Paul was predeceased by his beloved wife Dorothy (Field). He is survived by his loving children Paul Bickford and his wife Carol of Marietta, GA, Cheryl Re of Weymouth, MA, and David Bickford and his wife Susan of Whitman, MA, his cherished 14 grandchildren and over 30 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a very special “almost” daughter Debbie Jarvis and her family, and many other family and friends. Paul is the brother of the late John O. Bickford and Charlotte (Bickford) Sargent.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours for Paul on Tuesday November 24, 2015 from 4-5:30pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth. A Memorial Service in honor of Paul will immediately follow the visiting hours at 5:30pm in the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Norwell VNA Hospice for their exceptional care towards Paul at 120 Longwater Drive Norwell, MA 02061.
