Sam Getman

Sam P. Getman, age 14, passed away at Boston Children's Hospital on Thursday, April 2, 2015, after a lifelong battle with congenital heart disease. Sam is survived by his mother Cindy (Kerns) Getman, father Joshua Getman, and twin sister Sara Getman, all of Weymouth. He is also survived by loving grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 8 at 5 PM, followed by a reception until 8 PM, at Old South Union Church, 25 Columbian Street, Weymouth, MA 02190. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sam Getman Memorial Fund, c/o TD Bank, 754 Main St., Weymouth, MA 02190. Proceeds from the fund will be donated to the organizations that helped bring joy to Sam's life.
